শহীদ আফিকুল ইসলাম সাদ — পিতা: মোঃ শফিকুল ইসলাম, বাড়ি মানিকগঞ্জের সাটুরিয়া। সাভার ক্যান্টনমেন্ট কলেজের অনার্স ২য় বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী সাদ ছিলেন পড়াশোনায় মেধাবী, দাবায় স্কুল চ্যাম্পিয়ন, ফুটবল-ক্রিকেটপ্রেমী, স্কাউটে যুক্ত এবং একজন দক্ষ গ্রাফিক্স ডিজাইনার ও ফ্রিল্যান্সার। আন্দোলনে তিনি ছিলেন নিয়মিত মুখ। ৫ আগস্ট লংমার্চে অংশ নিতে বের হন মায়ের কাছ থেকে ২০ টাকা নিয়ে। বিকালেই খবর আসে—গুলিবিদ্ধ অবস্থায় সাদ হাসপাতালে। সাভার এমান মেডিকেলে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় ৮ আগস্ট তিনি শহীদ হন। সাদের স্বপ্ন, প্রতিভা ও ত্যাগ চিরকাল প্রজন্মকে অনুপ্রাণিত করবে।
Shaheed Afiqul Islam Sad — Son of Md. Shafiqul Islam from Saturia, Manikganj. A 2nd-year Honours student of Savar Cantonment College, Sad was a bright soul—school chess champion, footballer, cricketer, scout, and a skilled graphics designer. He was also a freelancer and a regular participant in the movement. On August 5, he left home with only 20 taka from his mother to join the long march. By evening, the tragic news reached his father—Sad had been shot in the head. On August 8, after days of struggle at Savar Enam Medical, he embraced martyrdom. His dreams and sacrifice remain eternal inspirations for the nation.
